History
In 2013 in an effort to better serve small business clients, Attorney Michael P. Utke opened a law office for just that purpose. With a focus on serving business clients from formation to late-stage business enterprises.
Better service to clients is easy to say, but difficult to achieve in the current legal paradigm of stuffy attorneys walled off from clients by assistants and paralegals. In order to achieve the goal of optimizing service to business clients, the firm had to change the model, and focus on approachability and communication. Our goal is to have a friendly and open rapport with our clients, ensuring that they feel comfortable calling to say, "Hey, let me run this by you...", Having that relationship with our clients allows this firm to proactively assist in avoiding liability, rather than reacting once it has already been incurred.
Attorney Utke has represented clients in Probate, District and Superior courts throughout Middlesex, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk counties. Additionally, Attorney Utke has appeared before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and Federal Courts.

Transparency In Billing
We offer hourly, flat, hybrid or contingent* rates. We keep detailed logs of the time spent on your case, and make them available upon request. We bill in tenths of an hour, rounded up to the nearest tenth. We only work for as long as a case requires, so you’ll never be over-billed for unproductive time. Invoices will include costs for copy, filing, messengers, and third-party research tools. A client may request a copy of billing statement at any time to ensure that there are no surprises.
Attorney rates are $450-550 per hour. Charges for paralegals and law clerks range between $200 and $250 per hour. Retainers must be paid upfront. Payments can be made by check, credit card, or online payment.
*Contingent rates are not applicable to all cases.
